Welcome to Lemay Vet Clinic

Lemay Vet Clinic has closed as a 'brick and mortar' practice, however Dr. Mangan still continues to practice house call veterinary medicine for previous patients of Lemay Vet Clinic. If you are looking for medical records for a pet, please use the contact button above, email address below, or call and leave a message where those records may be emailed.

Services available at a house call visit include: comprehensive  exams for wellness,  vaccines, acupuncture, laser therapy, rehabilitative therapy, aging and hospice care, consultation, and euthanasia.  I am unable to render care for aggressive animals, however do practice calm, kind and compassionate care in your home that may be especially helpful for the anxious pet.

I believe pet care is a partnership between the veterinary team and pet caregiver. It is my duty to provide education and options so you can make the best decisions for you and your pets, without high-pressure sales tactics. I believe each individual pet should have their veterinary care tailored to their needs and not dictated by custom. You as pet caregiver have the most important role and I am here to support you!

Before graduating from vet school in 2010 I spent many years on the other side of the exam table as a client. I always seemed to have the kinds of dogs with many medical issues: Dachshunds, Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Flat-Coated Retrievers, so I had plenty of opportunities to be the client. To be honest, I did a lot of ‘clinic-hopping’ looking for the best fit for myself and my animals. Unfortunately I never did find a vet with whom I felt completely comfortable entrusting my pet’s care and with whom I could work with as a team. I also spent years volunteering and fostering for shelters and rescue groups, and saw first-hand how lack of affordable veterinary care affects the lives of our pets. For those reasons I had a very clear idea of the kind of veterinarian I wanted to be: caring, nonjudgmental, forever curious, and down-to-earth. After graduation I spent a year in a large, very busy hospital in Texas, learning the basics of being a veterinarian. Although I met wonderful people while there, I yearned to return home to Northern Colorado and open the caring but affordable veterinary practice I had dreamed about. With the help and encouragement of my RN husband, Keith, I began AniMom Vet, a small mobile practice. We have lots of wonderful veterinarians here in Northern Colorado, and the idea of opening a brick-and-mortar clinic that would be succesful seemed impossible. However, mobile vet services proved to be popular, and in time Keith built a small clinic inside our home in Windsor. Many pets enjoy visiting our home clinic as if they were visiting friends. In August of 2014 I purchased the Roving Vet Clinic from Dr. Elayne Williams, who had been practicing in Fort Collins for almost 40 years. I want to continue the tradition Dr. Williams started by offering personalized but affordable service, and options in the care of your furry (or not-so-furry) family members. I believe it is my duty to provide the support, education, and options so that you may make the best decisions for you and your pet. I am so happy to be able to offer this level of veterinary medicine at prices just about all pet owners can afford. Not only that, but the ability to be accessible to my clients, who often call me to ask questions rather than turn to the internet for possibly erroneous information. I enjoy partnering with my clients regarding their pet’s veterinary care, and I know that YOU know your pets best. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
